Comprehensive Eye Exam:

It all starts here!

An eye exam is much more than just determining your glasses or contact lens prescription. At our practice, the comprehensive eye exam allows our doctors to truly evaluate the whole health of your eyes and your visual system.

Not only can a comprehensive eye exam detect early signs of eye conditions such as Dry Eye Disease (DED), glaucoma, or Age Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD), it can also help in the early diagnosis of systemic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. In some cases, a comprehensive eye exam can even help diagnose auto-immune conditions (such as rheumatoid arthritis or sjogren’s syndrome) or even neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis.

We still provide a refraction to determine your spectacle prescription, but evaluating the whole health of the eye allows us to determine just how well you can see and what might be the cause of a recent decrease in your vision.
